The Orange Line Platform Modification projects required the modification and improvements of nine existing LRT station platforms to allow the use of the new model low-floor Trolley on the San Diego Trolley Orange Line. The work included:
- Raising platform grage to minimum of 8 inches above top of rail with precast concrete pavers and concrete slab overlay
- Installation of new station passenger shelter structures including foundations, lighting, benches, and signage
- Relocation of overhead catenary systems, including poles, pole foundations, and wire assemblies
- Concrete Trackway Paving including integrated rubber Railseal flangeways
- Installation of conduit raceways and under track crossings, wiring, train-to-wayside detection, PA systems, station electrical and communication systems, electrical and communications service cabinets.
